Parrikar blasts DGP over moves to interrogate Lucky in Sweden

The Leader of the Opposition Manohar Parrikar on Friday lashed out at Director General of Police (DGP) Bhim Sain Bassi over his reported statement to press that police will send a team to Sweden to interrogate Israeli drug dealer Yaniv Benhaim alias Atala’s ex-girlfriend, Lucky Farmhouse.
Reacting to the DGP’s statement at a press conference held at the Assembly Complex today evening, Parrikar, said it is “pathetic” and “absolutely sorry state of affairs” that police could not track Lucky Farmhouse when she was in Mumbai , recently, but now they want to go to Sweden to interrogate her about her revelations pertaining to the involvement of a politician’s son in the drug trade.
Lucky Farmhouse in a telephonic interview to some media persons had claimed that one of the politicians son was also involved in the drug trade. The Crime Branch investigating the police-drug dealers nexus however did not make any serious efforts in tracking her when she was down in Mumbai even as she declared to co-operate if Goa police contacted her.
Parrikar charged that like politicians even police now wants to go on foreign tours as he rediculed the police department for not interrogating Farmhouse when she was in India.
Parrikar also once again alleged that crime branch has tried to sabotage the case of police-drug dealers nexus and more police men are involved , and they need to be interrogated.
In fact, right from the Chief Minister Digambar Kamat to people bottom down are involved in all kinds of criminal activities, he alleged.
