PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday hailed the observations made by the High Court of Bombay at Goa slamming the M V Lucky 7 off shore casino operator for the present crisis.
“The High Court has made it very clear. I am happy,” he said.
On Monday the division bench had stated, “Our beaches and rivers (are) first; casinos later. Our priorities are, we believe, the same as those of the government and of the people of Goa and Panjim… Casinos will come and go. They are replaceable. Our beaches are not.”
