PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Friday. This was Parrikar’s first meeting with Modi after he resigned as Defence Minister and took over as Chief Minister of Goa.
However, what was discussed between the two is not known. Sources say Parrikar discussed the resignations and possible entry of some Congress leaders into the BJP. Parrikar also discussed in detail the cabinet expansion, sources said. According to a release, Modi assured Parrikar his full support to make Goa a model state.
Parrikar also attended the Goods and Service Tax meeting at Vigyan Bhavan, in Delhi. He, alongwith Minister for Civil Aviation Gajapathi Raju, was present for the signing of the agreement between GMR and Central ministry for Mopa airport.
Parrikar also met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Environment Minister Anil Madhav and Power Minister Piyush Goyal.
