“The incident is most unfortunate. It should not have happened. I condemn it,” he said.
“Government of India needs to be little more offensive towards such incidents. Union government should ensure that adequate measures are adopted to avoid such incidents in future,” Parsekar said.
Meanwhile, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar on Sunday termed the Uri terror attack as an attempt to distract Narendra Modi-led government, which is marching towards making India a Superpower.
“The incident like Pathankot and today’s is nothing but an attempt to distract the Central government which is marching forward to become the power to rule the world,” Sawaikar told the BJP youth convention held in the city.
He said attempts in the form of terror attack are well planned to ensure that country doesn’t march forward and become a superpower. “When India is marching forward, there are some neighbouring countries which can’t digest this. They fear of losing. Hence through such attempt, militants are trying to weaken the country,” he commented.
Soon after the attack, that killed 17 soldiers, Sawaikar had tweeted saying “Now no more Martyrs…enough is enough”.
