Parshuram Gomantak Sena alleges illegalities at Monte Hill

Calls for undertaking survey and demolition of illegal structures; Threatens to move HC with a contempt plea if South District Collector fails to act within seven days

MARGAO: Alleging illegalities and anti-social activities atop Monte Hill, Margao, Parshuram Gomantak Sena on Monday demanded undertaking a survey and demolition of illegal structures in the area. 

The Sena said it expects immediate action within seven days by the South Goa District Collector failing which it has threatened to approach High Court with a contempt petition.

The Sena said it would target all the vote banks that have been created by politicians in Goa. 

Shailu Velingkar of the Parshuram Gomantak Sena demanded undertaking a survey and demolition of illegal structures in whole natural reserve area (A2 Zone) at Moti Dongor areas bearing PT Sheet Nos 174, 193, 194, 202, 227, 228 and surrounding areas. 

The Sena also demanded to look into the violation of High Court order on writ petition No 543 of 2013 for maintaining status quo with regards to the illegal structures built in disputed area of Moti Dongor. 

Alleging rampant construction of 2 and 3 storied houses atop Monte Hill, Velingkar said, “We anticipate prompt action and have demanded a scrutiny of the illegal addition to the electoral roll of Margao constituency, who are falsely availing different State welfare schemes”. 

“We demand the Civil Supplies Department to look into matter of House Tax Nos falsely mentioned in their ration card which are used to avail different welfare schemes of the State government. Upon finding the authenticity of these bogus ration cards, we demand that Civil Supplies Department should immediately discard the falsely issued ration cards,” Velingkar demanded.
