Parties entering other States to get recognition: BJP

Pot-shots at Cong over series of resignations

PANJIM: With regional political parties from other States making a strong pitch ahead of 2022 elections in Goa, the State BJP has said it is an attempt to get recognition as national parties.

Speaking at a press conference in the party head office on Friday, General Secretary Damodar Naik said these parties are not interested to work for the State and its people but instead get national recognition.

“Such political parties have come and gone. It doesn’t affect BJP. Let (Aam Aadmi Party) AAP or All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) or any party come to Goa, their intention is to get recognised as national party rather than serve the people,” he said.

Naik stated that BJP, on the other hand, has reached out to the people irrespective of elections or not. He also took a pot shot at the Congress over series of resignations claiming ‘they should save their own house instead of making baseless allegations against the BJP.’
