BICHOLIM: The recent spell of heavy rains, led to flooding in Gaonkarwada Bicholim, even as the authorities claimed that the situation was under control.
Due to the incessant rains, a portion of a bar, belonging to Jaidev Kumbharjuekar, located at Kothiwada Carapur was affected. Elsewhere, water entered into the houses of several people, including that of Shankar Parwar at Gaonkarwada.
There was not much damage caused at these houses. In another area, part of a wall belonging to Prasad Gawas, resident of Kharpal Latambarcem, collapsed. The preliminary assessment report with respect to the estimated losses will be submitted by the Talathi.
