VALPOI: Women and Child Development Minister Dilip Parulekar has stated that 7,726 women have been given sanction letters in the State under Griha Aadhar scheme.
Speaking at a function at Valpoi to distribute sanction letters, Parulekar said: “We have distributed sanction letters in almost all the talukas with Sattari being the second last taluka and function to distribute sanction letters will be held in Pernem within few days.”
He further informed that 33,000 applications have been received from all the talukas under the scheme and about 25% of the applications have been approved in the first round and sanction letters have been given to the beneficiaries. The remaining applications are under process of approval.
“Money has already been deposited in the beneficiaries’ account. In Sattari taluka, 78 beneficiaries out of the 322 applications have got sanction letters,” he said.
“All promises made by BJP during election are being fulfilled and the government is indeed working for the welfare of common people,” added Parulekar.
Opposition Leader Pratapsingh Rane also complimented the government initiative for coming out with such schemes which he said will give relief to the common men to fight rising inflation.
Sattari Taluka Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Naina Pirolkar and Valpoi Municipal Council Chairperson Ramdas Shirodkar also spoke on the occasion.
