MARGAO: A Panjim-Margao KTC bus was stoned by a young passenger after the driver told him to alight at the Margao bus stand on Saturday noon.
The bus driver claimed that the youngster used a pepper spray on him and the other passengers before stoning the bus and trying to make good his escape. He was, however, nabbed near the Ravindra Bhavan and handed over to the Margao police.
The incident occurred around noon when the bus reached the Margao bus stand. “While all other passengers alighted at the bus stand, this passenger insisted that he be dropped in the city near the State Bank. When I went near him and asked him to alight, he used a pepper spray and tried to flee. He later flung a stone on the wind screen,” driver Bassavraj told the media.
The Margao police are investigating.
