PANJIM: Directorate of Health Services (DHS) has appealed to passengers who travelled by the Vistara flight from Mumbai to Goa on March 22, to get themselves screened for coronavirus infection. One of the persons who has tested positive for COVID-19 had flown to Goa on that flight.
DHS has asked all such passengers to immediately report to the helpline or the nearest health centre. “Director of Health Services has informed that one of the patients detected positive for Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on March 29 at Goa Medical College has travel history from New York to Mumbai and then by Vistara domestic flight, UK861 from Mumbai to Goa on March 22,” the appeal states.
“Hence, the Director of Health Services has appealed to people currently in Goa who had travelled on the said fight to immediately report to helpline 104, call 0832-2421810/2225538, or report to the nearest health centre,” it added.
The person, who was on a ship, is amongst the five people who have currently tested positive for Coronavirus. All five patients have been kept in COVID-19 hospital, Margao.
