PANJIM: The Passport Office, Panjim has decided to organise a Passport Mela on March 28 keeping in mind the working community.

Keeping to the usual online appointment format, applicants wishing to apply for fresh passports or ask for re-issue under the normal applications will be allowed to do so from March 20. Tatkaal, on-hold, walk in and Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) applications will not be considered at the mela.
The office which has in the past received around 250 applications a day, are looking to make it 350 applications, this year.
Only applicants with an Application Reference Number (ARN) and online appointments will be permitted to enter the mela that will be organised at the office premises at Patto, Panjim. The office has also requested applicants to carry the required documents, both originals and duly attested photocopies.
