Patkar in Delhi to decide new CLP leader

It may be recalled that Michael Lobo was stripped of his position as CLP leader and Leader of Opposition earlier this year.

CURCHOREM: Congress party may name its new Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader on Monday as Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Amit Patkar left for Delhi on Sunday to attend a meeting with the central leadership on the matter. 

Soon after attending a public protest against inflation, Mehangai Par Charcha, at Curchorem, Patkar left for Dabolim airport to board a flight to Delhi where he will meet the central leaders and finalize the name of the CLP leader.

Sources close to Patkar informed that he will be attending a Congress meeting and later meet the top leaders to finalize the name of the next CLP leader. It is learnt that he will arrive in Goa on Monday evening.
