Pawar to visit Goa, alliance on the cards: NCP

VASCO: Stating that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar is likely to visit Goa next week, NCP Goa Chief Jose Filipe De Souza said that the party president will meet ‘like-minded political leaders’ in the State. NCP local leaders met Pawar and Praful Patel in Mumbai.
De Souza added that Pawar will discuss strengthening the position of NCP in Goa during his visit to Goa. 
“In our meeting, we discussed about strengthening and bridging the gap between the like-minded political leaders to form an alliance in Goa.  The alliance in Maharashtra will help strengthen NCP’s position in Goa,” he added. 
However, he denied that  there were any discussions about toppling the Goa govt.
