PANJIM: Following criticism from various quarters for abruptly stopping the Griha Aadhar monthly assistance to housewives, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has announced that after the end of code of conduct he would call for the file and inquire into the matter.
“I am told that for the last two months the Griha Aadhar payment has been not released by the government. I cannot say much now as the model code of conduct is still in force,” he said.
Sawant said that after the code is lifted he would call for the file and make sure the funds are released.
“In next few days I will clear the file and by June or July all arrears would be paid,” he said.
