MARGAO: A 28-year-old Nitin Hadbasi, who was working as a labourer died after a scooter dashed against him as he was walking near the Sunrise Factory at Cuncolim.
Nitin used to live at the IDC, Cuncolim and PSI Tejas Kumar Naik has registered an offence against the scooter rider Rahul E Hallitti of Galli Nessai and an employee of Global Ispaat Factory at the same complex.
According to the police, Hallitti drove his scooter in rash and negligent manner endangering human life on the internal IDC road while proceeding from Global Ispat factory towards a hotel and on reaching near Sunrise Factory, the scooter rider dashed against the pedestrian Nitin.
The pedestrian fell on the ground and sustained head injuries due to which he was shifted to South Goa District Hospital, Margao where he was declared dead.
Police and registered an offence under Sections 279, 337, 304–A of IPC against the scooterist.
