Pednekars long for Tuem hospital to be fully operational

Built with Rs 52 crore in last September, only dialysis service available here

PERNEM: Pednekars are eagerly waiting for the 100-bedded hospital, which was built with Rs 52 crore at Tuem, to get fully started. 

The project was supposed to get completed by March 2017. However, till date except for dialysis, no other facility is available at this building.

The 100-bedded hospital is part of the renovated Community Health Centre of Tuem. The construction of this hospital is the second stage of the project, making the CHC a fully furnished Sub-district Hospital under taken by GSIDC. 

Last year, in September 2021, the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had inaugurated the dialysis facility on the ground floor of this building. However execpt for this, the whole building is lying vacant and unused.

Ex-sarpanch of Tuem village panchayat Nilesh Kandolkar said, “As present panch member and on behalf of the people of Pernem, I request the government to make the hospital operational as soon as possible.”
