‘World Theatre Day’ was recently celebrated at Kala Academy in the presence of Minister for Art and Culture, Dayanand Mandrekar and Satish Alekar, renowned theatre personality, the chief guest for the function. Vishnu Wagh, Chairman, Kala Academy and Sushant Khedekar, Vice Chairman, Kala Academy were also present. Five theatre personalities, Shiva Naik, Meenakshi Amonkar, Dayanand Bhagat, Marshal Fernandes and Chandrakanth Naik were felicitated with Rangasanman Puraskar for their contribution in the field of Goan theatre and a play ‘Alak Nirajan’, written and directed by Vishnu Wagh was staged to conclude the evening.
