MARGAO: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on Tuesday said he is part of the opposition and neither they (BJP) asked him to support nor he has declared support to the BJP government. At the same time, the people got the government what they deserve.

Speaking to media persons on the sideline of laying of pipeline from Aquem to Gogol, Fatorda to solve the water problem, Vijai also said that they need to give time to the government before making any judgement.

Fatorda MLA was very soft on the BJP government.

“In politics there is a need for a reflective pose and hence I am in that, which is a need of an hour,” he stated.

He said, “Cannot blame the government immediately, as they need time to perform. One has to give some time before making judgements.”

“I have not declared my support to the government nor have they (BJP) asked for the same. They are very much in majority. I am very much part of the opposition, but at the same time we cannot be in opposition for the sake of opposition,” Vijai said when asked.

Pertaining to replacement of the water pipeline, he said that the citizens will surely benefit from the laying of this pipeline in the coming days.
