Margao: Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao has urged the people to elect the candidates supported and fielded by the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
NCP has fielded candidates in 5 constituencies. Menino De Bandar in Benaulim; Vania Baptista in Colva; Sarita Fernandes in Curtorim; Naresh Korgaonkar in Arambol; and Jayant Shirodkar in St. Lawrence are the candidates that have been fielded.
“I have done a lot of work for the people all over Goa and have been the most accessible. I know people will not let me down and I urge them to elect out candidates” said Churchill.
He also expressed anger over Congress and BJP, who he said have been claiming victory in many seats for their respective parties and questioned if they have ‘bought the voters in Goa’ given ‘how the two parties have been saying that the people of Goa will vote for their party in the ensuing ZP election’.
“In any constituency of Goa, Churchill Alemao has 2500 to 3000 votes. Today, I see Congress and BJP claiming that they will get many seats of ZP. Maybe, BJP and Congress have bought voters,” the NCP MLA alleged.
“There are some who are claiming that there is no development in Benaulim. This is false and someone’s fake adventures on the face of the election, the former Minister added.
