PANJIM/MARGAO: As BJP-led coalition government loses majority in Manipur, the Congress Party in Goa has said that the arrogance and dictatorial regimes won’t last long and that the turnaround has begun from East.
Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat said that people’s power is supreme in democracy.
“Arrogance and dictatorial regimes don’t last long. Turnaround has begun in Manipur. Change is coming from East,” he said.
“When leaders fail building their own party with own ideology, they break others,” former chief minister stated. In Manipur, Congress Party has moved no-confidence motion against BJP-led government after four of its State ministers, all belonging to alliance partner National People’s Party, quit the cabinet.
This was followed by resignation by three of the BJP’s own legislators who joined the Congress. To make matters worse for the BJP, two other legislators – one independent and the other from the Trinamool Congress – also withdrew support to the coalition government and pledged their support to the Congress.
