QUEPEM: Raul Pereira, who has been a councillor Quepem Municipal Council (QMC) for nearly 30 years, lost his chance to re-contest in the upcoming poll as his ward is reserved for ST Women this time.
Six nominations are filed on Wednesday for QMC, which take total to 68 thus far. Elvino Daymon Rebello filed his nomination in ward 1 (General), Lalita Bandekar in ward 3 (General Women), Pratika madgaokar in ward 6 (OBC Women), Vency Feranades in ward 7 (OBC Men), Sharmista Palyekar in ward 10 and Jessi Lourdes Fernades in ward 12(ST).
