PANJIM: The schools across the state will conduct periodic tests of 20 marks, for Class IX to XII from this month’s end.
A week-long examination will be part of a crucial internal assessment, which will be taken into account while declaring the final results.
The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) had introduced a special scheme for the academic year 2021-22 and the board has extended it for the current year too. The year is divided into two terms, exams of which are conducted by the Board and not schools.
“The periodic tests for Class X and XII will commence from this month’s end. The schools also hold tests for Class IX and XI,” Board chairman Bhagirath Shetye said.
As per the scheme, the students are tested on multiple choice questions at the end of the first term and are tested with a subjective exam at the end of the second term.
