NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) of Goa will have its permanent campus at Cuncolim, Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani disclosed in a written reply to Congress MP Shantaram Naik in the Rajya Sabha on Monday.
She said 112.86 acres of land has been identified for the campus and the Goa government has initiated the process of acquiring this land.
The Goa government will transfer the land to NIT free of cost while her ministry will provide grants for construction of the building and other related works, the minister said.
