Both the Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar and Mandre MLA Jit Arolkar seem to be sorely unhappy with the quantum and type of jobs given to Pednekars at the Manohar International airport. Jit Arolkar said that ordinary jobs were given and 631 youth trained at Skill Development Centre were without jobs. Praveen Arlekar too said that rates of compensation given to Pednekar were like grams ( Chane) and disputed that 1200 Pednekar received jobs.
The Chief Minister then placed the names of those who got jobs on the table of the house. Praveen also said that agencies which employed Pednekars at Mopa discontinued them after some time. The Chief Minister also said that 36.99% of revenue would be paid to the government by GMR after 2 years from starting of operations.
