PERNEM: In view of the upcoming G20 Summit and increasing number of crimes involving hotel employees, Pernem police team conducted a special drive in the coastal belt to ensure that establishment verify their employees before appointment.
During the drive, two establishments were found to have not carried out proper staff verification. In this regard, Pernem police have written to Tourism Director asking for termination of their licence.
Further during the course of verification, six persons were arrested under Section 41 CrPC, while seven persons were arrested under Section 34 of IPC.
Police Inspector Dattaram Raut said that such drives will continue in the future to ensure security and safety of tourists and general public visiting the coastal belt.
