PERNEM: The Pernem police have arrested history sheeter Swapnil Parab for allegedly assaulting and snatching silver chain of a Traffic Marshall Keshav Shetye in November 2020.
Police have registered an offence under section 504, 356, 379, 506 IPC.
The complaint Keshav Shetye (30) in his complaint had stated that on November 5, 2020 at around 5.50pm near Government Primary school, Nagzar Pernem Goa, the accused person abused him with filthy words, snatched away his silver chain worth Rs 12,000, which he had worn around his neck and further threatened him with dire consequences to kill. Since then the accused was absconding.
Parab is so far booked in nine cases including seven cases and Pernem police station, while one each at Ponda and Porvorim police station.
After hectic efforts and upon credible information the accused person was traced at Dadchiwadi Dhargal on February 19.
The Pernem police are further investigating the case.
