PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Thursday dismissed the petition that challenged the order of Returning Officer dismissing his candidature for the upcoming elections to Board of Directors of the Goa State Co-operative Milk Producers Union Limited.
With this it is made clear that the elections will be held as per schedule on June 19, 2022, Sunday.
A milk supplier, Ramesh Edathadan had filed petition before the High Court challenging order of his candidature’s dismissal on grounds that he is not the milk supplier for 280 days as required under the concerned by-law.
Considering various facts produced before the Court, the bench of Justice Sandeep K Shinde stated that the petition deserves no consideration. “It is dismissed.All interim applications are disposed of accordingly,” reads the order
