Petrol prices go up by Rs 1.50 a litre

PANJIM: Within five months of imposing a 15 percent hike in the Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol, the BJP-led government on Thursday increased the tax by another two percent, with petrol prices rising by Rs 1.50 per litre from midnight. In Goa, petrol will now cost between Rs 63 to 64 per litre.
