PANJIM: Goa Petrol Pump Owners Association (GPPOA) on Tuesday announced their support to the nationwide strike of dealers on October 13.
The United Petroleum Front, with 54,000 registered members throughout the nation, is protesting as its demands have not been fulfilled for the last 11 months. “We have decided to support the nationwide strike of dealers on October 13. There will be no purchase or sale of petrol on October 13. We request people to purchase the required amount of fuel till October 12,” GPPOA said.
“The strike is to press for various demands, including better margins and inclusion of petroleum products in the Good and Services Tax (GST). We warn that if the demands are not met at the earliest, fuel dealers will be forced to stop, indefinitely, purchase and sale operations from October  27,” the association said.
