MAPUSA: Deputy Collector Bardez Kapil on Tuesday called for a meeting with people of Anjuna costal belt to discuss the issue of noise pollution.
Locals vent out that they have been facing the problem for past several years and no authorities ever too any action despite several complaints filed.
“First time in the history we have seen any officer taking action. It’s the local authorities that needs to take action but local police as well as higher official in police department are involved in this”, Ravi Harmalkar a resident of Anjuna said.
Locals further claimed that the loud music parties continue throughout the night and sometimes even till next morning
Phadte said that he will take initiate necessary actions on the violators.
