PANJIM: The Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers has permitted employment of women at night in a pharmaceutical company situated in the Verna industrial estate.
The Sanofi India Limited has been allowed to employ women for a period of two years, as per provisions of amended Factories Act.
The permission is however subject to fulfillment of several conditions ensuring safe, secure and healthy working condition such that no women worker is disadvantaged in connection with her employment.
These include consent in writing of concerned women worker, CCTV cameras at workplace, transportation facility to pick-up and drop women worker at her residence, etc.
