Director General of Police (DGP) Jaspal Singh on Monday submitted the investigation report to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who is expected to forward the same to the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
Speaking to mediapersons on Monday, Singh said that a five-member team under a sub-inspector is formed to go to Hisar for further investigation.
“The team will head for Hisar on Tuesday. Currently, the briefing on the case and further investigation is been done to the team,” he said.
The team will also meet Phogat’s family members and obtain all relevant information from them along with recording the statements.
Singh informed that a report on the investigation, so far, is been submitted to the Chief Minister.
“He might send it to Haryana CM and police there,” he said.
However, the DGP refused to speak to the Haryana government and the Phogat family’s demanded seeking CBI investigation.
Meanwhile, the viscera samples of the deceased are most likely to be sent to Chandigarh Central Forensic Science Laboratory.
