The farmers of Ashvem and Mandrem have been suffering over the last few weeks due to pigs destroying their paddy crops. The frustrated farmers are fed up with the persistent problem causing difficulties on their farmland. Not only the pigs, even the unseasonal rainfall, put months of hard work down the drain.
The farmers also stated that the government subsidy is never available on time and they do not generate income through farming.
