VASCO: Newly-appointed administrator of Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Gurudas Pilarnekar assured the people of smooth functioning of the municipality and mentioned that no new work subjected to the policy decisions would be taken up by him.
Pilarnekar said, “Only the council has dissolved recently and the ongoing works, which started, will continue.”
The administrator said, “Many people have questioned whether the works have been stalled, but to be frank nothing has been stalled. The works which are in progress will continue. People need not worry, as they will continue to get the services from the municipality.” On garbage management, Pilarnekar mentioned that the garbage collection and management will continue and people won’t face any problem.
MMC Chief Officer Arvind Bugde said people need not worry as the newly appointed administrator has years of experience and would work efficiently.
