Pink Force policewomen receive training in first-aid and basic life support

PANJIM: In observance of National Road Safety Week 2024, the Pink Force of Goa Police learned lifesaving skills at a Pre-Hospital Care and Basic Life Support (BLS) workshop at a private hospital in Dona Paula on Tuesday. The workshop was organised under the RAKSHAK (First Response Care) training programme, an initiative supported by the Goa government.

The session, attended by 31 Pink Force police personnel, encompassed both theory and hands-on practical training.

The training aimed to equip the female police personnel with practical knowledge to handle emergencies, particularly those arising from traffic accidents. Emphasising the importance of the ‘golden hour’ following an accident, the workshop highlighted the critical role of first aid in potentially saving lives.

The Basic Life Support  training session was also attended by Ezilda D’Souza, Superintendent of Police, SPCR/Pink Force, and PI Mira D’Silva.
