Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the combination of plasma and Remdisivir has changed the life of Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Niak, who was extremely critical at one point of time.
“Shripad’s condition was extremely bad but combination of remdesivir and plasma has worked wonders. It has saved him. I was scared at one point of time,” he said. Rane said that after plasma therapy Naik’s life changed.
Rane further reiterated that there is a shortage of
plasma. He also said that they cannot take plasma from just anybody even though they have just 14 packets left now. “I urge people to come forward and save lives,” he said.
Also, he said, GMC cannot take plasma of an asymptomatic patient as the content would be less in their plasma.
