PM apprised on injustice done to SCs, STs, OBCs

The Goa ST, SC and OBC Federation has apprised the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson and other central leaders on the injustice done to the Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and OBC communities in Goa since the last 50 years.
Federation president and ex-MLA Antonio D Gauncar said the central leaders were shocked to hear about the ill treatment meted out to these communities in Goa since these communities enjoy all the rights and benefits guaranteed under the Indian constitution.Gauncar said the Federation will expose all the leaders for backstabbing these communities at the right time and at the right platform.
The Federation has requested the government to implement the cut off date of February 19, 1968 as per the Presidential order, implement 30 per cent reservation for scheduled tribes based on the cut off date and implementation of Article 332 of the Indian constitution.
