PANJIM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted virtually with farmer Pratibha Rama Velip from Netravali during the release of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi funds to farmers across the country under the PM Kisan Yojana Sanguem and congratulated her for adopting various modern farming techniques to cultivate crops. He was informed by Velip about the utilization of funds received from PM Kisan Samman Nidhi on upgradation of crops and purchase of fertilizers.
Velip expressed her gratitude towards implementing the PM Kisan Yojana for the revival of small farmers.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also witnessed the programme that was held via virtual mode on Monday. Besides Sawant, Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar, NRI Affairs Commissioner and Chairman of the Sugarcane Producers Committee Narendra Sawaikar, South Goa Collector Ruchika Katyal attended the programme at the South Goa District Collectorate.
