PANJIM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually interact with Swayampurna Mitras and beneficiaries of Atmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa on Saturday at 11 am.
This is the first time for any State that the Prime Minister will be interacting with the village panchayats under the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign, an initiative of the Union government launched by the Prime Minister on May 12, 2020.
The Prime Minister will interact with one Swayampurna Mitra, one municipal chairperson, one village sarpanch and four beneficiaries. A documentary “Swayampurna Goa – Let’s Make Goa Self-Reliant” will also be screened.
The aim of Swayampurna Goa Mission is to make people independent and the State self-reliant in all senses.
According to Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, under the Swayampurna Goa initiative, the State has made tremendous development in the field of agriculture, horticulture, floriculture and dairy farming.
Meanwhile, the State government has made all necessary arrangements to facilitate the people to watch the programme live by installing LED screens at the Panjim bus stand and Mapusa bus stand. In addition to this it can be watched live on LED screens at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda, Ravindra Bhavan, Fatorda, Ravindra Bhavan, Curchorem and at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali.
The interaction will also be telecast live at all village panchayats and municipalities of the State. Department of Information and Publicity will host the programme live on its social media handles such as Facebook (IPGoa) and Twitter(@dip_goa) and the office of Chief Minister will host the programme live on their Facebook, Twitter and Youtube handles.
All Swayampurna Mitras, taluka nodal officers and paryavekshaks, panchayat secretaries and chief officers of all municipal councils will attend the programme at their respective locations.
