PERNEM: Pernem MLA Praveen Arlekar on Thursday inspected the currently inactive waste treatment plant of the Pernem municipality along with the councillors and directed the council to resume the operations as soon as possible.
Arlekar questioned the chairperson as to why the project which was inaugurated ten years ago is yet to be operational. Chairperson Desai responded saying that the council has contacted the Directorate of Municipal Administration to start the project. Sinai Desai also informed that another project of generating fuel out of plastic is also stalled.
