PONDA: Ponda Municipal Council on Wednesday held a special council meeting to discuss the draft Outline Development Plan (ODP) 2030 for Ponda town and to recommend modification to be incorporated into it.
The meeting was chaired by Chairperson Shantaram Colvekar and was attended by officials of South Goa Planning and Development Authority.
Later, Colvekar said that the meeting was held as per the SGPDA instruction for suggestions on draft ODP for Ponda town.
The PMC also proposed new 15 metre road from Zareshwar to Kapileshwarim by pass road alongside the main nullah which will help reduce the flow in main road.
He said since Ponda taluka faces shortage of space for parking it was decided to propose multilevel parking at three places in Ponda, namely in front of court building, PMC land located near Ponda Municipal Building and at parking space of Rajiv Kala Mandir.
