PONDA: The Ponda Muncipal Council (PMC) on Tuesday passed a resolution for construction of 10 tonne capacity biogas plant in the PMC owned land at Kerya Khandepar.
The resolution was passed at the Council meeting held on Tuesday which was chaired by Chairperson Pradeep Naik.
Naik said that the biogas plant would handle wet garbage. The project will be constructed through MP local area development fund of Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar.
Naik informed that Tuesday’s council meeting had to been scheduled earlier, but had to be adjourned due to the code of conduct.
