PANJIM: In two separate narcotic raids, the Calangute and Anjuna police arrested two persons with drugs having total market value of over Rs 4 lakh on Thursday.
Calangute police in a raid arrested a person in possession of charas. According to police, accused Pinku Pal, 24, a native of Delhi, was caught possessing 129 grams of narcotic substance suspected to be charas, worth Rs 65,000 approximately.
Meanwhile, in another raid Anjuna police arrested Vinod Shabi Salgaonkar from Vaddi Oxel, Siolim. He was arrested for possessing charas worth Rs 3.41 lakh approximately.
Both the accused have been booked under provisions of NDPS Act.
