MARGAO: After several complaints from the locals of old railway station road and old market junction, of problems faced due to anti-social elements, the Superintendent of Police South Goa along with the Margao Town Police Station Police Inspector inspected the places, on Tuesday.
After the inspection, SP South Pankaj Kumar Singh revealed of having started a drive against the vehicles with tinted glasses and has increased the police patrol in the areas.
Singh informed that there were complaints from the residents of the old market junction and old station road that they are facing troubles due to anti-social elements in the areas.
“I have asked the police inspectors to take strict action pertaining to anti-social elements. The MMC too has to double up the efforts to remove the beggars and rag pickers from the streets,” he said.
