MARGAO: The office of Deputy Superintendent of Police Margao on Saturday denied the allegations made by one Anjali Anand against the Cuncolim Police saying she misinformed media that Cuncolim police did not register her complaint.
A press note issued by the office of the DySP said that the Cuncolim Police have registered an FIR on December 11 under the Goa Animal Preservation Act, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and Goa, Daman and Diu Cow Slaughter Act against Ali Bepari and Nazir Bepari mentioned by Anjali in her complaint.
Further, it was clarified that the said Ali and Nazir were arrested.
and incriminating articles have been seized from them and police are investigating the matter.
