MAPUSA: The Calangute police have issued safety advisory notice to Banks within their jurisdiction.
In a recent case of ATM skimming, Calangute police had arrested three persons for tempering with an ATM by fixing a skimmer card. In order to avoid such incident hereon, Calangute police issued a safety advisory notice to all the banks in its jurisdiction.
PI Jivba Dalvi has urged all the banks to follow some strong precautionary guidelines which will help the public in guarding their ATM cards from the fraudsters and thieves who are constantly on the hunt for cheating the public.
The advisory mainly focuses on measures such as inspecting ATM machines and alarm mechanism.
to detect any tampering immediately. PI Dalvi said that that the precautionary measures will make things more difficult for the criminals to tamper with ATMs.
