PONDA: Ponda Police on Friday took custody of two persons namely Jyothiba Virdikar (33) from Siddeshwarnagar, Tisk-Usgao and Deepak Pandurang Mendegalkar (28), from Kasayale, Tisk-Usgao in connection with theft of parked Activa Scooter from Tisk-Usgao and setting it on fire.
On June 26, Namdev Gingine had filed a complaint of theft at Ponda Police Station. During the inquiry, Police Sub-Inspector Aditya Velip revealed that Deepak had conducted the theft of the two-wheeler and set it on fire.
“Two days ago, the scooter was found at the place where it was set on fire by the accused,” PSI Velip said.
