PANJIM: In view of the Election Code of Conduct that came into force on Saturday afternoon, Goa Police has reshuffled the postings of deputy superintendents, police inspectors and sub inspectors.
Out of 18 transfers of DySPs, seven are newly promoted officers to the gazetted rank including Panjim PI Sudesh Naik.
With Naik’s new posting to higher rank, the department has filled in the two sanctioned PIs post at Panjim Police Station. This is the only second time that one of the biggest PS, Panjim PS will have two PIs.
In the list of transfers, 39 PIs have also been shifted to new PS while another 57 PSIs have also been transfers with immediate effect.
The police department had recently promoted a huge batch of personnel/ officers from the rank of constables to PIs.
