PONDA: The Excise officials at Anmod on Thursday seized liquor which was being illegally transported from Goa to Karnataka. Amit Sanglikar has been arrested for posing as a police official and transporting the alcohol illegally. Police stated that the driver claimed to be a police official attached to the police station at Dharwad. However, he refused to show his ID proof which is when the officials searched the car only to find 100 liquor bottles in it, worth Rs 4.2 lakh.
