MARGAO: The Colva police are investigating a complaint filed against Vijay Lamani, a native of Gadag, Karnataka, for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl. The Colva police said that the girl’s mother has lodged the complaint alleging that the accused had forcible sexual intercourse with her minor daughter, and then threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed the rape to anyone.
The incident, according to the complaint, occurred in April to May 2022, in the house of the girls’ relatives in Gadag, Karnataka. Colva PSI Subash Gaonkar has registered the offence under Section 376 of the IPC, as well as under the provisions of the POCSO Act.
